About Vicki Barlow

Vicki Barlow, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C, is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree after nearly a decade as a registered nurse with a local hospice in Pensacola, Florida. That experience ignited a passion for patients who did not have a terminal prognosis but were managing serious chronic medical conditions—motivating her return to school and her transition into advanced practice. Over the past ten years as a nurse practitioner, she has continued to deepen her expertise in chronic disease management.

Vicki’s areas of expertise include palliative medicine, chronic disease management, and advance care planning. She is a passionate advocate for ensuring that every patient has informed, meaningful conversations about their goals of care—whether they choose standard treatment, aggressive treatment, or to decline treatment. Her goal is that all patients, accompanied by family members or caregivers, have the information and support they need to make empowered decisions about their end-of-life care.

A wife, mother of three, and grandmother of two, Vicki is active in her church and finds great joy in spending time with her family. She enjoys reading, traveling the United States with her husband, watercolor painting, and crocheting. Her favorite travel memory is a visit to Petra, Jordan.
