About Dr. Samantha Sheffield
Dr. Samantha Sheffield is a podiatric physician and surgeon dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal foot and ankle health through compassionate, evidence-based care. She treats a wide range of conditions—including sports injuries, fractures, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon disorders, bunions, hammertoes, flatfoot deformity, arthritis, diabetic foot conditions, and chronic wounds—offering both conservative and surgical options tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Sheffield earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a surgical residency at NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, where she served as Chief Resident. Her training included foot and ankle reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, diabetic limb salvage, wound care, and minimally invasive surgery.
A native of Alabama and former collegiate tennis player, Dr. Sheffield understands firsthand how foot and ankle injuries affect quality of life and athletic performance—an experience that inspired her career in podiatric medicine. She is committed to patient education, shared decision-making, and helping people return to the activities they love.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys tennis, pickleball, fitness, and photography, and is excited to care for patients in the Huntsville community.
