About Melissa Wright
Melissa J. Wright, CRNP, MS, FNP-C, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than two decades of experience across primary care, military medicine, occupational health, hospice, chronic disease management, and critical care nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Wright State University and has held clinical and leadership roles within the Defense Health Agency, U.S. Army Military Health System, and U.S. Air Force Medical Service, among others. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she served as a Critical Care RN in both intensive care and cardiac care settings.
Born and raised in Montana, Melissa married her husband, James, in December 1999 and supported him through his 27-year military career, raising their two children—William and Lauryn—across communities nationwide. This journey as a military family strengthened her resilience and deepened her commitment to serving patients of all ages, including active-duty service members, veterans, and their families. Her areas of expertise include family practice across the lifespan, with an emphasis on chronic disease management and military and veteran care.
In her personal time, Melissa enjoys cooking, traveling to new places, and walking outdoors. She brings the same spirit of curiosity, warmth, and dedication to her personal life that defines her approach to patient care.
