About Mekayla Kirt

Mekayla Kirt is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in primary care. She began her career in family medicine, providing comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan. Mekayla earned her Bachelor’s in Biology from the University of Georgia, followed by a Master’s in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. She later completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Nursing at Emory University, where she developed the clinical foundation and expertise that continue to guide her practice today.

Mekayla is passionate about partnering with patients to achieve their health goals through compassionate, evidence-based care. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, weight management, mental health, and the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and diabetes. She believes every patient deserves to feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout their healthcare journey. By fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment, Mekayla works closely with each patient to develop individualized care plans that reflect their unique needs, values, and goals.

Outside of the clinic, Mekayla enjoys playing volleyball, discovering new restaurants, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends, including helping plan, host, and decorate small gatherings and special events. She values building meaningful relationships both in and out of the exam room and strives to help her patients live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
