About Dr. Khatija Ahmed
Dr. Khatija Ahmed is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She attended Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine where she received her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. Dr. Ahmed completed her three-year surgical residency training at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan, where she served as chief resident.
During residency, Dr. Ahmed obtained a well-rounded training caring for a diverse patient population. She has extensive experience with the conservative and surgical management of foot and ankle pathologies, medical and surgical management of the diabetic lower extremity, wound care, sports medicine, and trauma. Dr. Ahmed’s care philosophy emphasizes open communication and establishing attainable goals with her patients.
After several years in the Midwest, she has packed up her snow boots and is excited to return to the southern sunshine. She is looking forward to caring for the people of the metro Atlanta area. Dr. Ahmed enjoys the outdoors, trying new cuisines, spending time with her family.
