About Dr. Katie Kirschbaum

Dr. Katie Kirschbaum is a podiatric physician and surgeon committed to helping patients stay active and on their feet. Originally from the Chicago area, she earned her Master of Science in Law from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law before receiving her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine. She then completed a rigorous three-year podiatric medicine and surgery residency, where she gained extensive experience treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including sports injuries, diabetic foot care, limb preservation, trauma, and wound care. A former collegiate volleyball and tennis player at the University of Illinois Springfield, Dr. Kirschbaum has a special appreciation for helping athletes and active individuals return to the activities they love. Known for her approachable and compassionate style, she strives to make every patient feel heard and confident in their treatment plan. She believes in educating her patients, fostering strong physician-patient relationships, and partnering with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans that improve mobility and overall quality of life.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kirschbaum enjoys traveling, playing pickleball and tennis, spending time with her husband, family, and friends, and adding a little Disney magic to her adventures whenever she can.
