About Dr. John House
Dr. John House was born in Winder, Georgia. He began his career by obtaining his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from North Georgia College. Upon graduation, he continued his education by getting his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1967. He later served as First Lieutenant in the Army Reserves. He completed his Internship at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah in 1968.
Upon finishing his internship, he entered Active Duty as Captain in the Army. Dr. House served in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He completed his Army Service at Hunter Army Airfield in 1971. He entered a Family Practice in Winder in 1971 and retired in 2007. After his brief retirement, he began working at McKinney Medical Center from 2008-2015. He worked in Satilla Family Care in Nahunta from 2015-2018 and is presently a clinical physician at Upperline Health Waycross.
Outside of his time serving the medical community, Dr. House is a decorated writer. Dr. House has won two awards for Short Stories at the Southern Writer’s Association. He has published five novels, most recently Uncommon Bond, and is working on his 6th manuscript. His most recent novel, Uncommon Bond, was nominated for Georgia Author of the Year as well as an award from the Military Writers Society of America.
Dr. House is married to Winder native, Pam. They have worked side by side in the medical profession for most of their 21 years of marriage. They currently live in Brunswick, Georgia with their three cats.
