John Harris, DPM, FACFAS

About Dr. John Harris

Dr. Harris, a Florida Native, grew up in Orlando before moving to DeLand to attend Stetson University. After receiving his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology, he attended Barry University in Miami, receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 2003. Dr. Harris completed a one year residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach in 2004, and from there he moved to Jacksonville to complete a two year residency at University of Florida- Jacksonville.

When his residency was over in 2006, Dr. Harris joined the University of Florida Orthopedic- Podiatry Department as an Assistant Professor where he remained until 2011. Following his entrepreneurial passion, Dr. Harris opened his private practice in 2011 with his Downtown Jacksonville Location in 2011. In 2013, Dr. Harris expanded the practice by opening an office in Fernandina Beach.

Dr. Harris is currently double board certified through the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Board of Multiple Specialty in Podiatric Medicine. He enjoys staff privileges at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center -South, St. Vincent’s Medical Center- South, and Parkside Surgery Center.

While not working, Dr. Harris’ passions include spending quality time and traveling with his wife, and four daughters. He is actively involved in his church, and enjoys Jiu-Jitsu, hunting, fishing, hiking, home remodeling, and is an avid car racing enthusiast.
