Heather Simpson, CRNP

Nurse Practitioner

Heather is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with Upperline Plus, serving patients in the Hoover and Cahaba-280 clinics in Alabama. With 17 years of experience as a Registered Nurse and over a decade as a Nurse Practitioner, she brings deep clinical expertise in cardiology and internal medicine across both inpatient and outpatient settings. She cares for adult patients of all ages, delivering evidence-based, personalized care that meets each individual where they are.

Heather views healthcare as a calling and approaches every patient encounter with compassion, respect, and a judgment-free mindset. She is committed to treating the whole person—not just the condition—and ensuring every patient feels seen, heard, and supported. She is also passionate about patient education, believing informed patients are empowered patients.

Outside of work, Heather lives in Alabaster, Alabama, with her husband, two children, and their golden retriever. She enjoys spending time with family, attending her children’s activities, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, and volunteering with the Community of Hope Health Clinic in Pelham. This is an experience that continually renews her gratitude for the opportunity to serve others. She also has a particular passion for creating patient education materials, believing that an informed patient is an empowered one.
