About Dr. Daniel Ryan
Dr. Daniel Ryan brings a wealth of expertise and compassion to the field of foot and ankle care. Having completed a residency at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Dr. Ryan is board qualified in both forefoot and rearfoot surgery, reflecting his commitment to excellence in podiatric medicine and surgery.
Dr. Ryan is also a dedicated researcher, with involvement in numerous projects and publications in esteemed journals. His manuscript on pilon fractures earned an “Honorable Mention” award at the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference in 2021. Throughout his academic journey, he has garnered recognition through multiple scholarships, including an ACFAS Region Scholar award in 2018, and graduated podiatric school with a Highest Proficiency in Scholarship Award in 2020, among numerous other recognitions.
Rooted in a background of hard work and service, Dr. Ryan hails from a household where his mother, a labor and delivery nurse, and his father, a Chicago police officer, instilled values of diligence and community service. Inspired by his mother, he chose a path in medicine with a particular focus on forming meaningful connections with his patients.
In practice, Dr. Ryan finds joy in thoroughly evaluating patients, specializing in a range of pathologies related to the foot and ankle, including diabetic foot care, neuropathy, foot and ankle trauma, bunions, and musculoskeletal pathology, and ensuring each patient’s unique story is heard and understood.
Outside of work, Dr. Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling — from national parks to theme parks — snowboarding, watersports, and spending time with his goldendoodle, Loki. He is a devoted White Sox fan and has been a Green Bay Packers fan since birth.
