About Dr. David Kalambet
Dr. David Kalambet was born in Ukraine and raised in Toronto, Canada. He earned his undergraduate degree at McMaster University before completing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine near Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Corewell Hospital in Wayne, Michigan, focusing on diabetic limb salvage, complex reconstructive procedures, sports medicine, and trauma.
He was drawn to podiatry by the chance to provide thoughtful clinical care, perform meaningful surgical interventions, and build lasting relationships with patients throughout their lives — walking alongside them from early diagnosis through recovery. This commitment to comprehensive, ongoing care is what drives him every day.
Dr. Kalambet treats a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, from heel pain, bunions, and ingrown toenails to sports injuries, diabetic foot care, and reconstructive surgery. He prioritizes conservative treatment options whenever possible, tailoring each plan to the patient’s individual needs, and is committed to staying current with medical advancements to give his patients access to the most effective care available.
Outside of work, Dr. Kalambet enjoys spending time with his wife and family, playing and watching soccer and hockey, following motorsports, and unwinding with a good detective novel or thriller film. He appreciates living somewhere he can enjoy all four seasons.
