Dr. Herron is a board certified general surgeon who grew up in the small town of Metropolis, Illinois. His hometown has the distinction for being known as the “Home of Superman”. Growing up he knew he always wanted to become a surgeon. Throughout his studies his passion for medicine continued to flourish and grow. He completed his undergraduate studies at Murray State University graduating with high honors. Dr. Herron received his Doctorate of Medicine at Ross University. He performed his surgical training at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania where he was Chief Resident. He completed a surgical fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Herron’s extensive surgical background has allowed him to further focus on the diagnosis and treatment of venous and lymphatic disorders.

Dr. Herron provides all options for patient care including conservative treatment prior to more invasive intervention if indicated. Dr. Herron is a Diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is also a member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society. He has participated in a surgical mission trip to Honduras. In his spare time, Dr. Herron enjoys chess, travel, mountain biking and playing golf.
