About Dr. David Smith
Dr. Smith received excellent training right here in Indiana under some of the most well-respected foot and ankle surgeons in the state. He sees patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric, and tailors treatment plans to the individual patient. While Dr. Smith can treat minor foot and ankle ailments, he also performs corrective surgery for foot and ankle trauma, lower extremity deformities, and reconstructions.
Common foot and ankle ailments treated by Dr. Smith include Ingrown toenails, Fungal toenails, Heel pain, Achilles tendonitis, Hammertoes, Bunions, Ankle instability Diabetic ulcers, Ankle arthritis. A large portion of Dr. Smith’s training was with diabetic patients who pose a unique challenge because diabetes affects the entire patient. He treats diabetic patients both conservatively and surgically, depending on what will provide the best outcome. Smith is married with three children, all boys. In his free time, he enjoys all things outdoors especially with his kids, as well as running, cycling, and home improvement projects.
