Dr Shamshad is native to Northern Virginia. She graduated Cum Lade from George Mason University with a major in biology before earning her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago.

She completed her intern year at the Veterans affair in Loma Linda, CA where she expressed great gratitude in serving our soldiers and their families. She was involved in several publications and trained with renowned vascular surgeons significant in preventing amputation in veterans. Dr. Shamshad then completed a rigorous 3 year podiatric medicine and surgical residency at Adventist Health White Memorial in Los Angeles, CA. She gained immense experience in all realms of podaitric surgery and had the opportunity to work in conjunction with orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, plastic surgery and general surgery. Dr. Shamshad trained at Keck School of Medicine’s Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance Program and gained exceptional experience in limb salvage and wound care with esteemed surgeons.

Her training prepared her for all pathologies and deformities of all ages including diabetic limb salvage, trauma, reconstruction, sports medicine as well as plastics and minimal incision techniques.

Dr. Shamshad is a member of American Foot and Ankle surgeons and American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Although Dr. Shamshad misses the east coast, and loves the thundery nights, she has grown into the beach going, sun loving Californian. She is happily married and a mother to the most perfect little boy. She plays an active role volunteering for several organizations including Feeding Hands and Dress for Success and teaches yoga. She enjoys going to music festivals, trying different cuisines and is an avid swimmer.
