About Valarie King

Valarie, MSN, APRN, FNP-C is an ANCC board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of diverse nursing experience. Her clinical background includes cardiovascular telemetry, medical-surgical care, intensive care, and hemodialysis. She began her nursing career in 2013 after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Holmes Community College. After relocating to the Metro Atlanta area, she continued her education and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mississippi University for Women in 2018, followed by her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2022.

As a Nurse Practitioner, Valarie has gained experience in urgent care, primary care, palliative care, geriatrics, and hospice. She provides compassionate, comprehensive care and encourages her patients to listen to their bodies and work closely with their healthcare team when concerns arise. Her goal is to build trusting relationships with patients while supporting their long-term health and well-being.

In addition to her clinical work, Valarie is passionate about educating future healthcare professionals and serves as an adjunct instructor at South College of Atlanta. Outside of work, she enjoys attending church, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of two sons, Cameron and Kyle, and a fur-grandbaby named Jasper.
