Peter Godoy, DPM
Dr. Peter Godoy brings a comprehensive background in podiatric medicine and reconstructive surgery to his practice, combining his academic training with clinical experience in complex foot and ankle conditions.
A Southern California native, Dr. Godoy, earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Massachusetts before completing his pre-medical coursework at Salem State University. He received his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio.
After he completed a three-year residency at a Level II trauma center with Corewell Health in Farmington Hills, Michigan, specializing in forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery. His multidisciplinary training included rotations with vascular surgeons, orthopedic foot and ankle specialists, and podiatric surgeons, providing him with expertise in external fixation techniques and complex reconstructive procedures. The program’s integrated diabetic limb salvage fellowship component further enhanced his skills in collaborative subspecialty care.
Dr. Godoy is committed to developing individualized treatment plans through a collaborative, team-based approach. He works closely with patients to establish realistic surgical and non-surgical treatment goals, ensuring comprehensive care tailored to everyone’s needs and lifestyle.
When not in practice, Dr. Godoy treasures time with his wife and young son. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys barbecuing, camping, boating, and fishing. He channels his mechanical aptitude into home improvement and landscaping projects and maintains a unique passion for collecting vintage medical equipment and antique appliances. His love of hands-on work extends to building and experimenting with various mechanical projects.
