About Maygen Thorton

Maygen Thornton, NP, is a dedicated Nurse Practitioner at Upperline Health Waycross. She is passionate about serving her hometown community and is excited to bring her expertise and compassionate care to our patients.

Maygen began her nursing journey at South Georgia State College in Waycross, GA, where she earned her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2019, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, GA, in 2024. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

With six years of experience as an ER nurse at the Waycross Emergency Department and as a travel nurse in various states, Maygen has developed a well-rounded skill set and a deep commitment to patient care.

Outside of work, Maygen enjoys spending time with her husband, Zac, their daughter, and their beloved pets. She loves reading, being outdoors, and making memories with family and friends.
