About Lisa Batten
Lisa Batten is a native of Pierce County, Georgia. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Valdosta State University in 1997. She later returned to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2010 and a Post-Master’s Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2015 from Valdosta State University. She completed her terminal degree at Georgia Southern University graduating with a Doctor of Nursing Degree in 2020. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
During her career, Lisa has worked as a nurse in post-partum, newborn nursery, surgery, PACU (post-anesthesia care unit), and as a nurse practitioner in Cardiology, Hospitalist, and Diabetes Relief. She works full-time as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Valdosta State University and is employed part-time as a nurse practitioner at Upperline Health Waycross.
Lisa lives in Blackshear with her husband Ron Batten and their three daughters, Lexie, Bailey, and Brooke. In her free time, she enjoys spending time at the lake and the beach with her family.
